Get inspired by one of our local writers
The Dalles Art Center is excited to work with local author Jackie McManus to host a series of readings beginning again in 2021. On the third Thursday of each month, a guest writer will present their writings and provide an opportunity for questions and conversations about their work and experience as writers.
Many of the authors and poets will provide a free workshop to the public. Following the reading, audience members will have an opportunity to read their own work. Past writers have included Robin Cody, Dale Brandenburger, Dan Raphael, and Margaret Chula. Future writers include Kim Stafford, Penelope Schambly Scott, and Leah Stenson.
