About The Event
Did you know that our native oak tree can help you steward a fire resilient landscape? That oaks and the plants that grow along with them can support over 200 species of pollinators and wildlife? From butterflies to migrating birds, Oregon white oak is a cornerstone of our native ecosystem-offering seasonal interest, fire resilience, and unparalleled resources for wildlife in wildlands and your yard alike! Join the East Cascades Oak Partnership (ECOP) this April for an evening of art and learning around this incredible resource and learn about practical ways you can support local ecosystems, wildlife, and create a more fire resilient landscape for your home. ECOP is a group who recognized the importance of Oregon white oak habitats to our quality of life, to a strong economy, and to the well-being of hundreds of species of plants and wildlife with which we share our home. We are comprised of over 25 state and federal agencies, nonprofits, tribes, businesses, and local landowners who are collaborating to leverage resources, share knowledge, and implement conservation strategies that will help protect vulnerable oak habitats.
